Gould went to a barber for a clean shave and haircut after purchasing a new wardrobe. He was given a second chance at life, and he even got a job as a pianist at a local restaurant! On top of that, he was able to reunite with his son, Donny, who had seen his story on television. After 15 years apart, the father and son were able to reconnect. Gould’s life was in the best shape it had been in a long time.

He also enjoys interacting with them, listening to their stories, and making them laugh. With the hashtag #DoSomethingForNothing, Coombes is now encouraging others to “do something for nothing.”

Chris, a homeless army veteran with PTSD, was introduced to Coombes. He gave Chris a free haircut in an alleyway after listening to his story. “He was in a bad way when I first met him,” Coombes wrote in an Instagram post about the encounter. “A friend of his had passed away just a few weeks before.” Coombes asked Chris what he wanted people to know before he left. What was his response? People should spread as much love as they can, he said.

Florin, a Romanian immigrant to Paris, was introduced to Coombes. Florin had a stroke and died as a result. He had no passport and no way home when he awoke in the hospital, so he ended up sleeping on the streets. Florin, on the other hand, is hopeful that he will be able to return home someday. During their time together, Coombes gave him a great haircut and bonded with Florin. Florin has even invited Coombes to pay him a visit when he returns to Romania.

Mathew and Coombes met in a park in Central London in 2017. He ran into him again a year later, and Mathew remembered that Coombes had cut his hair recently. Coombes may be a great barber, but his greatest gift is simply listening to these people’s stories.

As it took some time, Garcia and her amazing team of stylists were able to cut Jose’s hair and dye it back to brown to make him look younger. To say the least, the results were spectacular! A new man was about to emerge. But the transformation didn’t stop there.
